Ancient Sites of Poland

video_camera

In the summer of 2016 Mick and Jolanta went on a 2 month tour of Poland to visit some of the megalithic and sacred sites, with a quick detour to visit a couple of sites in The Baltics. Micks knew nothing about the ancient relics found in this part of the world so he was surprised and amazed by what he saw, particularly with the stone circle complexes found in the woods in the North of Poland but also by the energy he was able to feel at some of the Sacred sites. Below there is a summary of the sites we visited.

Stone Circles

.
.

Odry and Lesno – a collection of about 10 stone circles lying within a couple of hundred square metres, with between 10 and 35 stones approximately a metre tall and many with crystals in them. There are also 30 burial mounds and over 600 flat graves decorated amongst the circles which are thought to have been left by the Goths in 1st and 2nd centuries A.D. They have about 85 different species growing on the Stones here and about 70 of those are only supposed to grow in the mountains, this ties in with John Burke’s work to do with megaliths enhancing and helping the development of these seeds .

The circle alignments

.

Stones within the circles align at the solstices but the circles also align. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd circles form a line which points towards the sunrise in the winter solstice, the 4th, 5th 6th and 7th circles point towards the sunrise on the summer solstice and it is thought the 1st, 8th, 9th and 10th circles form a line which points towards a star called Capella, which was really bright when these circles were supposed to have been built.

This site is popular with the Polish due to people feeling positive energy and experiencing healing, and there are even stories of people feeling so much energy they briefly lost consciousness. The Polish seem much more open minded, shown by the information on the official signs talking about high levels of energy on the Bovis scale. One area away from the circles called the elipsa is supposed to reach 120,000 on this scale and it is believed the site sits on telluric energy lines. We met some people using a pendulum to show the energy has different polarities on the central stones in circle number 7 and many of the locals we met told us stories of visions they had or animals acting strange.

Only 30 km away is a site called Lesno, an area with 10 round Barrows and an estimated 50 flat graves as well as some reconstructed stone cysts apparently used the hold the bodies of the Dead. There was a really interesting stone attached to one of the mounds with lines of quartz crystal, possibly selected on purpose for the piezoelectric effect of the crystals harnessing telluric energies.

Grzybnica – This site was so cool we had to visit a couple of times. There are 5 stone circles, 102 flat graves and 2 burial mounds, as well as single standing stones dotted around the complex and between 15 and 20 circular and visually pleasing graves left by the Goths 70-80 years after Christ. The official information booklet for the site talks of high levels of energy emanating from the complex, measuring from between 80-100,000 on the Bovis scale and again the booklet discusses some pretty esoteric topics.

From the 5 stones circles 2 are embedded in the earth with a kind of circular hillock around the outside, they are the same size and have the same number of stones. Psychics have seen in the astral plane a 6 to 7 metre high crystal sitting in the centre of one of these embedded circles and at this point people have measured 100,000 units of energy on the Bovis scale. The other 3 circles are not embedded but sit at ground level and they are said to match the Orion’s Belt, like the Giza pyramids, with 1 smaller and 2 larger circles. The 2 larger are the same size measuring 37m in diameter with 17 or 20 stones remaining of 33. In the middle of the central circle is a single stone called the Warrior stone and here 2 telluric energy lines are supposed to cross. At this point you can measure 90,000 on the Bovis scale and the booklet states there is an energy connection to Orion with the Warrior stone sending this energy to all of the Stones on the outside of the circle, like a bicycle wheel if you are looking from above. The other larger circle has 4 or 5 stones in the centre forming a circle within a circle and again the energy is really high on the Bovis scale, around 80,000.

The single stone full of crystals

We felt energy at quite a few places around the complex, the strongest point was actually at a single stone so full of quartz the whole thing actually looks like one massive crystal. There is another point where there is supposed to be high levels of energy emanating from the ground. Here there is a tree which is the same species as all of the trees in the forest only this one looks completely different as the bark is flat with no moss growing on it. This site is an amazing collection of circles close to Koszalin and a must-see for those megalith enthusiasts.

Wesiory – at this site there are 9 circles, 19 mounds and 110 flat graves, although only 4 of the circles are in a good enough condition that you can recognise them today. The biggest circle is 26 metres in diameter and like in Odry the circles had additional stone pillars in the centre of the circles. The burial mounds vary from 4 to 6 metres with 1 to 3 bodies inside, some are covered in small Stones what others have boulders on top. Artefacts and skeletal remains found around the Mounds have been dated to between the first and second century AD. but you can read on the informative signs that due to the age the growth of lichen on some of the Stones the circles might be thousands of years older.

The Association for the study of Polish stone circles says the layout of the circles is a reflection of the Galaxy M45 also known as the pleiades. On one of the signs there is information about the healing circle and the way you should enter in order to absorb the most amount of energy. For example it is better to remove your shoes and lay down on your stomach facing North.
Structurally speaking this circle is like no other I have seen It is made from small stones and it’s built like a circle within a circle, it seems to work though as many people claim to have experienced healing.

The megalithic stones are covered in crystals and while touching a couple of them I could feel energy passing from the rock into my hand.

Babi Dol – is a site with 3 small stone circles less than 10m in diameter and it is in a pretty bad condition, one of the circles has only a few stones left. Like with other collections of circles in the area the Goths have left their mark with 5 large mounds, 60 flat graves and artefacts scattered all over, although there could be more to discover as relatively little investigation has been done since they started in 1978. We didn’t do all that much filming as there wasn’t much to see and the weather was pretty dismal.

Other Megalithic Sites

.

Borkowo Cemetry – there are 4 dolmen structures and a tumulus although 3 of the Dolman are actually destroyed and just look like piles of stones. The complete dolmen is different to the others we have seen in different places around the world, it is made from bigger, rounder stones like those found in Holland and Germany. It has 4 capstones and probably about 10 upright stones and seems to be part of a bigger structure with more large stones scattered around the outside and smaller ones forming what looks like a mound. The tumulus is 40m long and not very high so actually quite hard to see hidden under all the leaves.

Sarnowo – We went to an area in the centre of Poland to visit some sites they call the Polish pyramids, the first we visited had 9 structures between 50 and 80m long, each with between 1 to 5 bodies inside and most buried with some with grave goods. From the front they have a slight pyramid shape but when you look from the side you can see they are nothing like pyramids more like long elongated triangles. It’s not just the shape that causes them to connect to Egypt it is also because they found skeletons buried with grave goods like ceramics, which they think were offerings for the next life. Obviously nothing like the pharaohs with their chambers full of gold but there’s a slight connection there but we feel these structures are actually long barrows. These barrows had small dry-stone walls at the front and back but an absence of stones in the central section, although they have been reconstructed so it’s difficult to know if this is what they would have looked like.

.

Wietrzychowice – This is one of the other nearby collections of long barrows we visited with 5 structures ranging from the largest being 116m and the shortest being 47m. They are similar to those long barrows found in the U.K, although built from smaller rocks and without the rooms or chambers that you can enter. At this site the stones go all the way around the outside, like a frame forming the shape with plenty of soil around them.

Sacred Sites

.
.

Wawel Hill, Kraków – The Wawel chakra in Krakow is believed to be one of the world’s most powerful spiritual energy centres, books have been written about the energy emanating from under the 11th century chapel in the north west corner of the courtyard. The church refuses to accept evidence of any extraordinary phenomena at the site dismissing the idea as an urban legend, but when we were there we saw plenty of people meditating and touching the wall to feel the energy.

.

According to legend a dragon lived in a cave under Wawel and eastern traditions say dragons were great guards of earthly power places and an old Hindu legend tells how Shiva threw 7 stones in different directions and they flew as far as Rome, Mecca, Machu Pichu and Wawel. As many as 7 ley lines link Wawel to other sacred sites including Stonehenge, Rome and Jerusalem and its the Jerusalem ley line that connects Wawel to the next site we visited Czestochowa.

The Pagan Bear

Mt sleza – Mt Sleza has all sorts of myths and legends associated with it, one being there is a UFO under the mountain and there are pagan rituals associated with the place. We felt strong energy at an ancient occult site close to the top with my hands tingling and energy going up my arms. There is a church on top, an old pagan stone bear that looks a bit like a pig really and information about how groups of people come here because of the positive energy.

.

Czestochowa –
is one of the Polands most significant places of pilgrimage. Thousands of people walk from all over the country to visit the black Madonna, a painting said to have miraculous powers associated with countless stories and legends from over the years. It is even credited for defending the city from attack on numerous occasions despite the odds being severely stacked against them.
Inside the monastery there are walls full of crutches from people who have been healed, it is thought that before the church there was a Pagan temple and for centuries kings came to Czestochowa to pray before making important decisions.

Feeling the energy in Gdynia

Holy Hill, Gdynia – has plenty of legends associated with it, some telling of healing water and others about pagan activities over the years. We went because we saw photos with strange looking energy patterns on certain websites and we were curious to feel the energy at a site that is supposed to have 3 ley lines crossing each other. Mick felt energy going up his arm and a warmth in his root chakra, watch our video to know more.

.
.
.

Kazimierz Dolny – is a site with 3 crosses on top of a hill overlooking town, they were put there to remember the victims of Cholera although the records show there might have been crosses before these ones. We went to the area because we heard of the positive energy and although we felt good sat behind the crosses it wasn’t as strong as in Wawel or Mt Sleza. It is hypothesised by some that it is the narrowing of the Wisla river that causes the emission of high levels of energy at both Kazimierz Dolny and at Wawel.

The Rapa Pyramid

Rapa Pyramid and Wilczy Szaniec – is a site close to the border with Russia we found a more recent historical monument in Rapa, a 10m tall tomb in the shape of a pyramid built by an art collector in the 19th century to place the bodies of his family. It is linked by another ley line to wolfs lair, the site of one of Hitlers secret bunkers and it is also supposed to be on the same ley line as the Giza Plateau.

.

Merkine Pyramid, Lithuania – is the inspiration and the creation of a Lithuanian guy who received messages from a guardian angel telling him to build a 3 sided metallic pyramid with a dome over the top. Thousands of people visit to experience the healing properties with a whole list of things that people claim to have had healed such as blood pressure reduction, chronic pains going away, internal organs becoming healthier, mental health being improved and relationships getting better. We felt energy but it wasn’t as strong as some of the other sites we visited.

Some of the smaller stones

Pokaini Forest, Latvia – a place full myths, superstition and mysterious events with stories about strange lights and supernatural forces and many spiritual healers believing the forest to be an ancient holy site or healing centre. There are collections of ancient rocks large and small assembled around 30 hills in a particular sequence but archaeologists failed to find any evidence of burials so the boulders must have been placed there for some other reason. A scientist from Riga visited in 1996 and noted how the rocks seemed to emit strange and powerful energies sadly he died shortly after due to an unknown disease.

.

The official leaflet states the megalithic stones are used like acupuncture needles to stimulate the flow of living energies including assisting conduction along ley lines and the receiving of cosmic radiation. It states the rocks contain quartz and mica crystals which are forms of life that can generate energy and transmit and strengthen various kinds of vibration and it also mentions beings with different levels of vibration that exist in different dimensions.
